Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using the Onbox platform (the "Service") or accessing onbox.ing (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our Data Processing Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms are between Onbox Labs, Inc. ("Onbox", "we", "us") and the entity or individual using the Service ("Customer", "you"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. The Service

Onbox is an AI-powered email management platform. The Service includes email synchronization, search, AI-powered triage and categorization, and an autonomous agent that executes automations defined by your organization.

The Service is currently provided as a free beta. We may introduce paid plans in the future with reasonable notice. Features, limits, and availability may change during the beta period.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. The organization administrator is responsible for managing user access and permissions within their workspace.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Your Data

You own your data. We do not claim ownership of any content you submit to the Service, including email data synced from your email provider, drafts, and skill definitions.

We process your data solely to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy and DPA. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

When you delete your account, we delete all your data within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. AI Agent and Automations

The Service includes an AI agent that can act autonomously on incoming email based on your organization's skill library (triage rules, triggers, and skill definitions).

Your responsibility: You are responsible for the skills and automations you configure. If a skill sends data to an external system, updates a record, or takes an action on your behalf, that action is governed by your instructions. Onbox executes the automation as directed but does not verify the correctness or appropriateness of the outcome.

No guaranteed accuracy: AI outputs (categorization, drafts, metadata extraction) are generated by third-party model providers and may be inaccurate. You should review agent actions and AI-generated content before relying on them.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  1. Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
  2. Interfere with the Service's security, integrity, or availability
  3. Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  4. Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited bulk communications
  5. Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access to your workspace
  6. Use the Service in a way that could harm other users or their data

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers (email providers, AI model providers, and others listed on our Sub-processors page). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.

When you connect external services through the platform (e.g. CRM, database), you are responsible for ensuring those integrations comply with your own obligations.

8. Intellectual Property

Onbox owns the Service, including its software, design, and documentation. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets.

You retain ownership of your data. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.

9. Availability

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) with reasonable notice. During the beta period, changes may occur more frequently.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that AI outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • Onbox will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages arising from AI agent actions or automations.
  • Our total aggregate liability for direct damages will not exceed $100 USD.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable.

Upon termination, we delete your data within 30 days, unless required by law to retain it.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Delaware.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notified by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
